Unfolding Landscape

Exhibition design

For the first time Sotheby’s London hosted a graduate show form The Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) in Beijing. The exhibition showcased young Chinese design and was initiated and curated by Janice Blackburn.I was invited by the curator to design a display system which will best represent the Chinese school and its graduates works including furniture, lighting, graphic design, photography and fashion.>>>

Under the tight budget and time constrains, I proposed a display system which followed the principle of creating a changing landscape within the exhibition space, using simple white plinths in different heights. The visitor’s experience involved finding his own path and narrative along the ‘topographical’ display.
